2 Video Game Links With Music and a DOOM Video Rec.

Last night, your old school video gamer ant found these two cool stuff:
  1. Kingdom Hearts (KH) Insider -- "... an unofficial archive of video game soundtracks, offering thousands of downloadable MP3 tracks across decades of gaming history. From retro 8-bit classics to modern AAA releases, the site serves fans looking to immerse themselves in the audio atmosphere of their favorite titles. It’s particularly valued by collectors and fans of rare or out-of-print game music..."
  2. An about 1.5 hours YouTube video showing "Penny - Doom Episode 1 -- Doom with a mouse and a rabbit!" with a dad/parent teaching their child/daughter how to play classic DOOM episode 1 (shareware) via/through a multiplayer session. It was adorable, funny, and cute.
Nostalgias! :D -- 11/22/2025 4:46 PM PST: Updated the broken link.

  1. I really like seeing that some classic FPS videogames have been used lately for learning and also for how to develop them. This probably doesn't have much to do with [2] but I remember reading a news story a year ago about a school in Russia that was teaching its students (mainly kids) to create basic maps for Half-Life using J.A.C.K. and playing them with Xash3D FWGS (https://idtech.space/notice/AobswItpKt5GINhL5U).
