I really like seeing that some classic FPS videogames have been used lately for learning and also for how to develop them. This probably doesn't have much to do with [2] but I remember reading a news story a year ago about a school in Russia that was teaching its students (mainly kids) to create basic maps for Half-Life using J.A.C.K. and playing them with Xash3D FWGS (https://idtech.space/notice/AobswItpKt5GINhL5U).
